Slovakia’s Chudyba tops the two-phase CSIO4*

14 September 2023

Bronislav Chudyba with the 11-year-old mare Herriet T turned out triumphant at the end of the two-phase 140 cm for the prize of Case IH.

It’s always a beautiful feeling when you win one of the classes with the crowd like that. I really like being here in Warsaw, this show is beautiful. It was a very good start for me, I hope it will end up like that as well – spoke the Slovak winner

Right behind his back, missing as little as 0.2 sec, came Poland’s Tomasz Miśkiewicz. The current show jumping national champion came second with his 10-year-old Velvet Lazar.

The parkour was not particularly demanding, and the mare’s performance was truly up-to-expectation. I was not really sure of my desire for racing in the second phase, but as I took the first line at quite a speed and was able to keep the pace, the result we have brought seems satisfactory – commented the Pole.

He also admitted to feeling right in shape, which may be taken for an encouraging sign in the perspective of his Sunday participation in the Nations Cup.

Let us hope that one makes a right start. We would surely like to compete for medals, hard as it may seem – he concludes.

The podium was completed by Spain’s Carolina Villanueva Suarez with the 14-year-old Voice de Chenaie gelding.
