Another gold goes to Seabra

9 September 2022
Duarte Seabra from Portugal and Fernhill Holly Chay have just opened Friday Warsaw Jumping with their victory at the CSI2* 135 cm against-the-clock-competition for the prize of Służewiec Racecourse, subsequently to his winning in the closing competition of last night.

What the rider hinted at the night before was the desire to sustain the good shape until the end of the event. Which seems likely, as he – by what he has confessed – ‘sleeps well and starts the day the best he could.’

It is all to my immense happiness. However, I will not grab any more medals today – as I have to fly back to Portugal this afternoon and be back here for the Nations Cup. The course this morning was great again, the arena itself is a lovely place. – said Duarte.

The silver went to Aura Vasama of Finland with Fayot, and the third place was taken by Eliza Zawadzka with Quaido.

I enjoyed that one a lot. It has been my first major success with Quaido – not the last one, hopefully. The parkour was quite demanding, though it offered sufficient space for galloping and a few nice shortcuts to take. – the 16-year-old Polish admits
