Vermeir wins the first world ranking competition
Wilm Vermeir, a Belgian, and his Hotshot have just grabbed the first place in the world ranking competition for the prize of CaseIH and under the patronage of Świat Koni, which was also a qualification for the Friday Grand Prix.
The second place went to Andrzej Opłatek on Le Cordial, and the third was taken by Mario Stevens of Germany on Carrie 22.
It was a fast course, and my Hotshot was acting a bit crazy today, so it looks like I was lucky. Sometimes it takes a bit of fortune to win. It could actually be my lucky day. I have been in Poland before, not at Warsaw Jumping though. It is a great show, really. The arena is so good! – says the winner.
In Andrzej Opłatek’s view, the parkour turned out to be quite a demanding one.
My horse is brilliant, and I feel well-tuned myself. We have tackled the difficulty of the parkour smoothly.
Despite its outstanding shape, Andrzej is going to resort to two other horses while approaching the higher obstacle competition. Le Cordial will stay at 145-150 cm in speed competitions – that is what he is best at.
