Polish victory to open up Warsaw Jumping 2024!
Jacek Zagor with the 8-year-old I’m the Best Red Wine made it to the top in the opening competition within CSIO4* Warsaw Jumping – the young horse two-phase for the prize of Fundacja Lotto, under the patronage of Magazyn Wyścigowy KANAT.
The levels of the competition went high. Happy to have achieved a desirable result, bearing in mind how many prestigious contestants we have had here – confessed the winner, barely hiding his satisfaction. Day one always brings out extra tension and the parkour was not that easy. Good to come first in the opening competition – then you can just chill. – grinned Zagor.
Mark Edwards came second, having chosen the 7-year-old Tinkers Touch as his sporting company. Nice start of the show! Nice to get a clear round in this really nice setting. Hopefully, there are more clears to come. – said the Briton. It’s a nice course, quite spooky for young horses, but they did well. A good way to get started. – he added.
The two were accompanied by a well-known in Poland Greek Angelos Touloupis on the 7-year-old Karima 25 mare. I’m feeling great and the horse was amazing. The last months have been really consistent. She feels really nice in this arena. We are really happy with the third place. A really nice course for the young ones, a fair one – the designer did a great job.- emphasised the Greek.
