Touloupis best at Friday’s CSIO4*. ‘I knew we had a chance to win.’
The Greek Angelos Touloupis with the 8-year-old Kannandillo stallion reached the top spot at the four-star against-the-clock competition for the prize of Marszałek Województa Mazowieckiego, under the patronage of EQUI TV.
It feels amazing. My horse did an amazing job. Early on the list, we had to ride really fast and put up the bar for the rivals. Yes, the course was difficult. If you want to ride fast, you take the risk. I think I did the turns really fast and really well. I knew we had a chance to win. – confessed Touloupis.
The lower step of the podium was seized by a young Uzbekistan representative – Abdurakhmon Abdullaev – who decided to jump that one with the 10-year-old Otto can de Achterhoek gelding.
The horse is always good. Today was better for me than yesterday – the second place. It was a very fast course, short turns, a lot of options to go faster. – stated the 20-year-old.
Number three went to the well-experienced Alberto Zorzi and the 12-year-old grey Stakalite. I am quite happy to be honest. My mare jumps very well today again. Third place – two times – I can’t win (giggling). Two more days and we are focused on the biggest classes. The parkour was easy – it is always easy when you have good horses (giggling again) – summed up the Italian.
